The signal from the ventilation switch is secondary in smoke and heat exhaust ventilation (SHEV) control panels, meaning that signals from smoke detectors, manual control devices, and external fire alarm systems take precedence regardless of the operational status triggered by the ventilation switch.

The ventilation switch should be connected to all WindowMaster ventilation and SHEV control panels.
