Fire Alarm Control Panel FSZ Base
The FSZ Base is a fire alarm control panel designed in a robust and design-oriented manner, suitable for use on fire and smoke protection doors and gates.
It consists of a power supply, manual button, alarm memory, reset button, and operational status display.
It is used in various applications in industrial and administrative buildings.
The FSZ Base impresses with the following performance features:
- Integrated manual release button with interchangeable labeling
- Integrated reset button
- Operational, alarm, and fault indication
- Switchable alarm storage
- Flexible cable entry
- Aesthetically pleasing design
- Made in Germany
The fire alarm control panel FSZ Base has been tested by VdS according to the general requirements and testing standards for the approval process for fire alarm systems and is approved in the general building approval Z-6.500-2427 by DIBt. Additionally, it has been tested by VdS according to DIN EN 14637.
Using an optical status display, the FSZ Base signals the states of operation, alarm, and fault. The display is located on the front side and is thus easy to see and recognize. Defined and easily determinable flashing frequencies can be used to determine the source of an alarm or fault.
Using DIP switches, alarm storage can optionally be activated in the FSZ Base. This allows for implementing fire alarm systems with, for example, free-running door closers, where alarm storage is required. The resetting of an alarm is done via the integrated reset button. Additionally, an external reset button can be connected if required.
The integrated manual release button allows for manual triggering directly at the device. The usual installation of a manual release button is therefore eliminated. The labeling of the button can be individually customized. Standard labels "Close Door" and "Close Gate" are included. Labels in English and French are available as accessories.
An external manual release button can also be connected if desired.
Using DIP switches, line monitoring can be activated according to DIN EN 14637. For line monitoring, the connected components at the last participant must be terminated with two resistors of 43kΩ each. The termination module AM 142 is available for this purpose. When using the smoke detector ORS 142, the termination module is already integrated into the detector and only needs to be activated using the magnet supplied with the base.
The FSZ Base is fully backward compatible. This allows not only the installation of new systems but also the modernization of existing systems with minimal effort. Existing wiring networks can continue to be used.
