Protronic Innovative Control Electronics GmbH offers a range of applications with the holding device RZ-24 that goes beyond the usual performance scope of conventional controls. The power supply unit with an integrated release device for holding devices can hold open more than just conventional swing and sliding doors or gates. At the small control and monitoring module, measuring only 12 x 12 cm, holding magnets, run controls, door closers, and magnetic brakes from various manufacturers can be connected. The control and display foil meets the latest requirements of VdS.

The holding device RZ-24-FA from protronic impresses with low power consumption, potential-free signal transmission, and reliable function even under extreme environmental conditions, such as in damp rooms (protection class IP65) and EX areas. For manual remote release, versions with different manual buttons are available. In addition, short power outages can be bridged with a maintenance-free power pack.
The button area, measuring 16 cm², already meets the requirements of DIN EN 14637:2008-01, here point 5.6.1

According to DIBt guidelines, the manual release button must be red and bear the inscription: "Close Door". A more specific designation may also be chosen for "Door". A short press of the button must automatically initiate the closing process.

Since the holding device RZ-24 can use significantly cheaper smoke detectors or fire detectors instead of expensive smoke switches or fire switches, it also saves additional costs. A potential-free signal transmission is provided by a corresponding changeover switch.
