FlexiSmoke™ WSC 560

The FlexiSmoke™ WSC 560 is the largest smoke and heat exhaust (RWA) control console in the FlexiSmoke™ series for controlling ±24V DC and MotorLink.

Due to the uniform modules, both RWA and ventilation functions can be assigned to each module.

Touchscreen

The FlexiSmoke™ features a 3½” LCD touchscreen with a clear menu navigation. This allows for straightforward configuration, commissioning, and maintenance – even without a computer. Any malfunctions are displayed in detail, significantly facilitating troubleshooting.

The FlexiSmoke™ has up to three different motor speeds:

1. for ±24V DC standard motors - 1 speed (RWA)

2. for MotorLink^® motors - 2 speeds (RWA / manual control)

3. for MotorLink^® motors and bus communication - 3 speeds
   (RWA / manual control / automatic)

Speed Types

RWA: full motor power for RWA and safety functions.
RWA function always has the highest priority.
Manual control: A fast and audible speed for manual ventilation controls
Automatic: A slow and almost silent speed for automatic ventilation controls.

Low Wiring Effort

Using BUS technology for RWA control panels automatically results in lower wiring effort. Reading in and programming the individual BUS participants can be done directly via the control console's touchscreen.

Wind Direction-Dependent Smoke Extraction

The FlexiSmoke can be set up to open and close the windows depending on wind direction and speed. This allows the RWA flaps/windows to be controlled based on wind direction without purchasing additional modules.

BUS Communication

The ventilation control is also possible via BUS communication KNX or BACnet IP together with, for example, NV Advance^®.

Certification

Certified according to EN 12101-10 and ISO 21927-9.
The WSA 5MC KNX module is certified by BACnet Interest Group Europe. 

Flexible System Structure

The FlexiSmoke can be constructed as needed and can be technically modified and expanded at any time, e.g., by adding additional modules or linking multiple consoles.

Structure

The WSC 560 contains three 20A sections.

Modules
Each 20A section contains the WSA 5PS power supply module, the WSA 5MC master control module, and 3 free installation slots for the installation of expansion modules. The WSA 5MC control module
is available with or without a fieldbus interface for KNX or BACnet IP.
The 3 free installation slots can be equipped with the WSA 5IO input/output module and/or with the WSA 5UM universal motor module. The module types and numbers are chosen to adapt the RWA console to the specific task.

Motor Groups and Motor Lines
Each motor group consists of one or more motor lines. All motor lines of the motor groups are controlled simultaneously.
Each 20A section contains one 20A motor line on the WSA 5PS module for connecting ±24V standard motors. If multiple motor lines are needed, one or more motor modules of type WSA 5UM
should be selected. Each motor module has 4 motor lines. It is possible to connect ±24V standard motors and motors with MotorLink ® to the WSA 5UM.
One 20A section can contain a maximum of 13 ±24V standard motor lines or 12 MotorLink ® motor lines and 1 ±24V standard motor line. The total current consumption of the motors must not exceed 20A.

RWA Main Control Panels
For the FlexiSmoke™, RWA main control panels from the WSK 5 series must be used. The RWA control panels are configured via the touchscreen of the RWA console and assigned to the smoke sections.

Inputs / Outputs
All inputs and outputs in the FlexiSmoke™ RWA console can be freely configured – meaning that functions can be assigned across the modules and 20A sections.
