The VELUX 3MJ 230 is a powerful electric spindle drive for the motorised opening and closing of rooflights. The actuator operates with a 230 V AC supply and provides a stroke of approximately 300 mm, a pushing force of 500 N and a pulling force of 200 N.

With a static locking force of 3,500 N, the actuator securely holds the rooflight in the closed position. The opening speed is approximately 6 mm/s. A potential-free contact is provided for position indication when the rooflight is open.
