Aumüller KS8 400 S12 24 V Chain Actuator – 800 N (522240)

The Aumüller KS8 400 S12 24 V (522240) is a powerful high-speed chain actuator designed for heavy windows in natural ventilation and SHEV applications. Despite its compact dimensions, the KS8 provides up to 800 N of pushing and pulling force combined with a programmable operating speed of up to 22 mm/s.

This version provides a 400 mm stroke and is particularly suitable for applications requiring high forces, short opening times and limited installation space.

800 N in a compact housing

With a housing cross-section of only 56 × 40 mm, the KS8 combines substantial mechanical performance with compact dimensions.

Its maximum pushing and pulling force of 800 N allows heavy window sashes to be operated reliably, while the high opening speed provides short travel times. The maximum holding force is up to 3,000 N, depending on the mounting arrangement.

Intelligent S12 electronics

The integrated Aumüller S12 control electronics allow the actuator to be adapted to the individual installation.

Using Aumüller's DCT configuration software, parameters such as stroke, speed, force and soft start can be adjusted. Diagnostic functions are also available.

The actuator provides feedback for the CLOSED end position, while feedback for the OPEN position can additionally be programmed.

Adjustable chain tension

The KS8 features an adjustable chain tension system. A concealed adjustment screw at the chain outlet allows the characteristics of the stainless-steel chain to be adapted to the application.

Higher tension increases back stiffness under compressive loads, while reduced tension provides particularly smooth operation under tensile loads.

Mechanical chain release

For easier installation, the chain can be manually extended without an electrical power supply. This simplifies attachment to the sash bracket during mechanical installation.

AUMÜLLER Click compatible

The KS8 uses the modular AUMÜLLER Click connection system and can be combined with components such as M-COM Click, Audio Click and VRS Click.

M-COM also allows suitable groups of KS8 actuators and locking actuators to be automatically configured for monitored synchronous operation.
