Protronic Innovative Control Electronics GmbH offers an application range with the hold-open device RZ-24 that goes beyond the usual performance scope of conventional controls. The power supply unit with integrated release device for hold-open systems can hold open not only conventional swing and sliding doors or gates but also various manufacturers' magnetic locks, slide controllers, door closers, and magnetic brakes can be connected to the only 12 x 12 cm control and indicator module. The operating and display film meets the latest requirements of VdS.

The hold-open device RZ-24-FA from protronic impresses with low power consumption, potential-free signal transmission, and reliable operation even under extreme environmental conditions, such as in damp rooms (protection class IP65) and EX areas. For manual remote release, versions with various push buttons are available. Furthermore, temporary power failures can be bridged using a maintenance-free power pack.
The push area measuring 16 cm² already meets the requirements of DIN EN 14637:2008-01, here point 5.6.1

According to DIBt guidelines, the manual release button must be red and bear the inscription: “Close door.” A more precise designation may be chosen for “door.” A short press of the button must automatically initiate the closing process.

Since the hold-open device RZ-24 can use significantly cheaper smoke detectors or fire detectors instead of expensive smoke switches or fire switches, this additionally saves costs. A potential-free signal transmission is provided by a corresponding relay.
